We offer shift knobs, steering wheels, furniture, wall art, and anything else we can think of. We also custom make those things for anyone that might want custom colors, shapes, or designs. We will try our hardest to make anything you might have in mind.

Everything made, and for sale on this website, is made from recycling used skateboards and new regular skateboard griptape. We Do Not dye any of the wood and every piece is from a broken skateboard.

Grip n Grain started as a hobby. Hector would do random cut designs in his griptape to quickly distinguish which end was the nose. The designs quickly became more intricate and noticed. A few people at the skatepark asked him to do some designs for them. Hector decided to use that money to buy a few woodworking tools. Woodworking had always interested him and he thought "Why not try it?" He noticed there was not an easy place to buy skateboard related car goods. That was all the motivation needed to start making shift knobs. Hector's love of car design and southern hip hop from the early 2000s is how he came up with the name. Only the trillest were wood grain grippin'.
